New Americans Center helps refugees to secure their employment by providing pre employment counseling, including:
- How to create a resume and fill the application
- How to look and find an appropriate job
- How to prepare for an interview and what to expect
- The benefit of maintaining employment
- Basic etiquette at work
- Transportation, interpretation and translation throughout the process of getting hired
ESL & other services
Refugees speak languages other than English, below are many services we provide to help refugees and immigrants to be integrated in our Texas society.
- English class

- Transportation & interpretation
- Use of buses
- Job assistance
- Applications: financial aid, food stamps, Medicaid, housing, apartment, employment, etc
- Bill assistance
- Sports and entertainment
- Teaching them their rights (working with local law enforcement)
